ABC News Australia has featured ALDUB, the phenomenal TV couple from the Philippines’ noon time show Eat Bulaga. ALDUB is now gaining more global exposure as more international news featured the tandem. AlDub is a combination of the names of actor Alden Richards and Dubsmash queen, Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza.

The ALDUB hashtags have trended daily on Twitter that it’s now considered a social phenomenon. Their popularity grew even more when they met in person (they usually communicated through dubsmashing and through split TV screens) during Eat Bulaga’s Tamang Panahon Charity Concert. The hashtag of the event broke the Twitter World Record with 41 million tweets, attracting global attention.

The Strait Times (Singapore) featured them in their entertainment news, and America’s Bloomberg TV has also discussed about how the ALDUB love team affected brand sales in the Philippines. BBC news has invited people who talked about the phenomenon that was ALDUB, as well.

International singers such as, Dawin, the Lifehouse, and Bryan White have recognized ALDUB and has interacted through Twitter with the couple and with ALDUB fans.

With the ALDUB popularity going global on TV, being invited to the Ellen DeGeneres Show is not a far possibility.
