Floyd Mayweather’s next fight is Andre Berto for the WBC and WBA Welterweight World Titles on September 12, 2015 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather is 36 and Berto is 31.
The Mayweather-Berto Fight generated less media exposure and fanfare than the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao Fight, which was touted as the Fight of the Century. Revenue-wise, it’s expected to earn only 1/3rd of what the Mayweather-Pacquiao raked in.
Reportedly, the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight was the all-time big earner with around 75 million ticket sales and about 500 million PPV earnings.
Mayweather, as usual, is self-confident as ever, stating:
“I’m ready to get back in the ring on Sept. 12 and prove again to the whole world why I’m the best ever…”
He vowed to make his record 49-0.
