According to reports, WBO expected Mayweather to vacate the WBO 154 and the WBA but Mayweather has not done so.

The WBO, however, is not giving the belt to Pacquiao but to Timothy Bradley, who has won his June 27 fight with Jessie Vargas.

It can be recalled that the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight was the richest boxing event – ever, grossing more than 200 million in revenues.

The WBO resolved:

“The WBO world championship committee is allowed no other alternative but to cease to recognize Mr. Floyd Mayweather Jr. as the WBO welterweight champion of the world and vacate his title for failing to comply with our WBO regulations of world championship contests.”
