The Voice Kids grand finale will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at 7:30 pm on ABS-CBN, and everyone is excited who would be proclaimed as the Grand Finale winner.
All the contestants are incredibly talented that it’s difficult to predict a winner, more so, that the winner will also be the outcome of the public votes.
The Top 4 The Voice Kids final contestants are:
• Lyca Gairanod
• Darlene Vibares
• Darren Espanto
• Juan Karlos Labajo
Sarah Geronimo coaches Lyca Gairanod and Darren Espanto; Bamboo coaches Juan Karlo Labajo, while Lea Salonga coaches Darlene Vibares.
The first part of The Voice Kids Grand Finale features the Top 4 contestants singing two songs each; one upbeat and one power ballad. The 4 kids performed the following songs, flawlessly:
• Lyca Gairanod – “Call Me Maybe” and “Narito Ako”
• Darlene Vibares – “Louder” and “Sanay Wala Nang Wakas”
• Darren Espanto – “Somebody to Love” and “Ngayon”
• Juan Karlos Labajo – “Runaway Baby” and “Yesterday”
The prediction is for Darren Espanto to win the competition if both performances are to be considered. He has the voice that could sing any genre of music, the stage presence, the charisma and the palpable connection with the audience.
Juan Karlos has the natural flair as a performer too and he could breeze through a song like a seasoned singer, while Lyca and Darlene are spectacular in their numbers. Lyca is, indeed, a Superstar Nora Aunor in the making, while Darlene is a performer with fire and so much power.
In the end, Darren Espanto has a slight edge of being more versatile than the three. Hopefully, viewers and voters would see through this and vote him as The Voice Kids Grand Finale Winner.
