“Breaking Bad”, the drama series, and its actors Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, and Director Vince Gilligan made it to the final list of 2014 Emmy nominees.
Bryan Cranston was nominated for Best Actor in a drama series, for his sterling performance as Walter White, teacher turned meth cooker, in the popular drama series “Breaking Bad”. Anna Gunn was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a drama series; Aaron Paul was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a drama series, while Vince Gilligan was nominated for Best Director in a drama series and Best Writing for a drama series (together with Moira Walley-Beckett), all for “Breaking Bad”.
“Breaking Bad” also earned these nominations:
Best Drama Series
Best Casting
Cinematography for a single-camera series
Makeup for a single-camera series
Prosthetic makeup for a series, miniseries, movie or a special
Sound editing for a series
Sound mixing for a comedy or drama series
“Game of Thrones” has the most nominations with 19.
The “Breaking Bad” series has ended already, but the brilliant performance of its cast and the engaging storyline of the series seem to linger forever. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul developed a bromance during the filming of the series. Hopefully, they would be able to do more projects together.
The awarding of the Emmy winners will be on August 25, 2014 in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre.
