Caleb is considered primarily a rock singer with his style and great lung power. He was once referred to by Harry Connick Jr, as having the same vocal power as Journey’s lead singer, Arnel Pineda.
If Caleb Johnson wins, it would be the first time that a genuine rocker wins American Idol. Jena Irene has a unique voice too and has stayed on top of the voting polls in the last results show, however, Caleb may perform better in the Finale.
