MANILA, Philippines – The Iglesia ni Cristo’s (Church of Christ’s) Worldwide Walk for Typhoon Haiyan event has beaten all past records in the Guinness World Record for the Largest Charity Walk in a single venue. This was held in a global scale last Saturday, February 15, 2014.
Reportedly, the representatives from The Guinness World Records have estimated more than 4,800 getting across the finish line.
The Church of Christ has dedicated this charity walk to the victims of super typhoon Yolanda (international codename-Haiyan) in Tacloban, who are still in dire need of clothing, food and shelter.
The members of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) have always been known for their solidarity and unity in expressing their beliefs. In fact, politically, socially and religiously, they are a force to reckon with.
One shining example is this latest event, The Worldwide Walk for Typhoon Haiyan victims. INC members from all over the world expressed their support through the huge numbers that participated even abroad.
