BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – The Panagbenga Festival, also known as the Flower Festival, is a yearly celebration in the Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio City. The 2014 Schedule of Main Events for the Panagbenga Festival 2014:
February 01 Grand Opening Parade
February 22 Street Dancing Parade
February 23 Grand Flower Float Parade
More activities would be added as the people of Baguio prepare for next year’s Panagbenga Festival.
The event usually attracts local and foreign tourists who want to watch ethnic culture, song and dances of the mountain provinces. These provinces include Kalinga, Apayao, Bontoc, Benguet, and Ifugao.
Colorful native costumes and interesting dances are something to look forward to. The Grand Flower Float Parade is also a spectacular display of flowers of all kinds and colors. If you plan to attend the Panagbenga Festival 2014, you have to book rooms earlier, as there would be an influx of foreign tourists, as well.
