Audition Now for Lead Roles in Star Wars: Episode VII; Mark Hamill Auditioned too; Who knows? You might be the next ‘Luke’

Star Wars production is now conducting an audition for two of its lead roles for the “Star Wars: Episode VII” series. This was disclosed on November 9, 2013. Episode VII is set to be released in December 2015.

Several people had already started auditioning in Bristol. The auditions for Rachel a street smart girl, must be over 16, (preferably, late teens) and Thomas, a smart, capable man in his late teens or over 18, would continue across Ireland and the UK.

Some of today’s big-named Hollywood stars started as relatively unknown stars.  Mark Hamill, Star Wars first 3 episodes (post), started as one.

On November 14, 2013, casting call would be from 3 to 8 pm at the Park West Theatre, in Chicago.  Auditions will take place in Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin and London. Auditions would also be conducted in Nashville and Chicago. Interested persons could apply online, as well.

To date, Lucasfilm revealed that 1,000 auditioned, while another 1,000 were turned away, and 75 were given callbacks.

Lucasfilm is on a nationwide search for the “Star Wars: Episode VII” lead roles. Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher starred in the previous episodes of “Star Wars.
