The judges and the special performances for the 2013 Miss Universe Competition were disclosed by the Miss Universe website this November 2013.
The 2013 Miss Universe judges include:
- Steven Tyler – Singer, rock star
- Chef Nobu – businessman, proprietor
- Tara Lipinski – Skater, Olympics’ Gold Medalist
- Carol Alt – TV personality, Supermodel, actress
- Anne V – Supermodel, actress
- Farouk Shami – Sponsor, 2013 Miss Universe, businessman
- Italo Fontana – Designer
- Philip Kirkorov – Russian legendary star
Hosting the 2013 Miss Universe Competition are Thomas Roberts, TV anchor, and Melanie Brown, singer and one of the judges of “America’s Got Talent.”
A preliminary competition for the 86 gorgeous candidates will be held on November 5, 2013, and the Miss Universe finalists will compete in 3 categories on November 9, 2013. The three categories are: the Swimsuit, the Evening Gown and the Interview portions.
The prediction for the Top 16 Miss Universe candidates includes the following.

Although, Miss Philippines is, reportedly, ranked 12 only on an alleged leaked judges’ preliminary results, it is apparent that Ariella Arida is a strong contender because of her pre-pageant performances on various events.
Miss Philippines, Ariella Arida, was among the Top 6 for the Mercedes Benz commercial, one of the Top 16 candidates for the Tony Ward Fashion Show, and recently, she was picked as the Top 1 among the 86 candidates for the Glam Shoot; earning the “Ice Princess” title. Most online predictions also have included Miss Philippines among their Top 5 Miss Universe candidates.
Online voting for the 86 Miss Universe candidates is also on-going, and Miss Philippines, Ariella Arida, would surely be among the Top 5 leading contestants. If she wins this online voting, this would increase her chances of receiving the crown from Miss Universe 2012, Olivia Culpo.
