The Philippine Team, Dragon Fireworks, won the 2013 Pyronale Fireworks World Championships in Berlin, Germany. Through popular vote, Dragon Fireworks won the gold and the “People’s Choice Award.”
Out of 70 companies, only 6 were selected to perform.
The Philippine Team competed with Croatia, Poland, Greece, Finland and Spain.
Philippines’ Dragon Fireworks, with the 20 year-old Vander Resurreccion Tenedero, won impressively. Spain captured the silver while Finland the bronze.
The fireworks display was awesome with the Philippine Team displaying its ingenuity and originality in the spectacular fireworks. The choice of music was also awesome as the song “Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas” rendered a fitting tempo to the kaleidoscope of brilliant colors.
