Nationwide vote results can be really hard to predict. In fact, only a few would have expected that the feisty and rocking Skylar Laine would be the contestant who will have to go.
This American Idol finalist has received praises from the judges for her most recent performances, which implied that she was improving her style week after week.
No wonder there were gasps of disagreement from the audience in the studio as Ryan Seacrest announced that it was Skylar Laine who was saying goodbye to the American Idol 2012 competition.
American Idol is now only two weeks away from the hometown visits and who would have thought that Skylar Laine, who has only been in the Bottom Three twice throughout the competition, will leave the show prematurely.
Perhaps, even the fact that Skylar Laine was in the Bottom 3 was also a shocker because the judges expressed how much they appreciated her latest performance. Ironically, those who were criticized by their resident mentor, Jimmy Iovine, during the most recent show (like Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips) were the ones who were decided to be safe by the voting public.
