Karina Smirnoff, DWTS Champion, Breaks off with Brad Penny

Karina Smirnoff, who was the DWTS Champion, together with JR Martinez in “Dancing with the Stars” 13th season, has broken off her engagement with Brad Penny, the pitcher for the Detroit Tigers. This was released by various entertainment sites, December 7, 2011.

Karina Smirnoff has reached the semi-finals and quarter finals of DWTS during previous seasons and had finally become the champion with JR Martinez in season 13. She is a U.S. National Champion and holds various international championships in dancing.

Smirnoff got engaged with Brad Penny on October 2010. Karina Smirnoff has apparently thought that she and Brad Penny were “different.”

Giant Asteroid: To Pass Earth at a Closer Distance than the Moon’s Orbit, But Poses no Danger of Collision

A giant asteroid will pass Earth closer at a distance closer than the moon’s orbit, but astronomers say it poses no danger of colliding with the Earth. This was disclosed in international news sites, November 8, 2011.

Reportedly, the giant asteroid, also called, 2005 YU55, measures 1,300-foot-wide, almost the size of an aircraft, would pass by Earth at 6:28 pm ET on Tuesday, November 8, 2011.

It will pass about 202,000 miles of earth and is not visible to the naked eye.

Additional reports however said that the giant asteroid can be seen, especially in North America and Western Europe, through a telescope with a mirror of about 6 inches in size.

Daylight Savings 2011 on November 6, Clocks to be Set One Hour Forward

The start of the Daylight Saving Time 2011will be on November 6, 2011. Clocks will be set one hour forward, if it would be backed by political leaders all across UK, as disclosed by international news sites, October 29, 2011.

The one hour forward plan for the Daylight Saving Time, would “cut road deaths, boost tourism and reduce energy use,“ according to supporters, as reported by Daily Mail.

The Daylight Saving Time 2011 is expected to be on November 6, 2011, Sunday, in place once all things are ironed out by all parties concerned.

The World Series 2011 championship was won by the St. Louis Cardinals against the Texas Rangers in Game 7, on October 28, 2011, Friday as disclosed by sports news sites on the same date.

In their official website’s homepage, “Congratulations CARDINALS!” is prominently displayed as reportedly, the St. Louis Cardinals made history with their win after being one strike away from elimination. They also made history with their score, 16 against 7 by the Rangers, and recoded as being the third highest score in a World Series game.

The St. Louis Cardinals won the World Series Championship against the Texas Rangers with a score 6-2, thereby winning their eleventh championship. “The Most Valuable Player” of the World Series 2011 would be awarded to David Freese, reports revealed.

Two-faced Cat, Recognized as Guinness’ ‘Oldest Living Janus’ Cat (Video)

A two-faced cat turned 12 this September and the Guinness Book of World Records‘ recognized it as the ’Oldest Living Janus Cat.’ This was disclosed by international news, this month of September.

Reportedly, the two-faced cat from Worcester was named Frank and Louie because it has two faces. The usual life span of cats with two faces is usually days or weeks only, but the Frank and Louie made it to 12 years.

Reportedly, the bankruptcy judge has approved the sale of the Crystal Cathedral in order to pay off its creditors, but church members are racing against time to raise money to save it.

According to these reports, the Southern Lights are the counterpart of the Northern Lights or aurora borealis. It is caused by the ‘emissions of photons in the earth’s upper atmosphere.
